I had juvederm filler injected into my under eyes for shallow eyes. Shortly after the injection, I noticed I would get Malar edema that would come and go. My injector advised against dissolving the filler saying it could make my eyes shallow again. However 2 years post filler, the Malar edema is remaining consistent and not going away. Should I dissolve finally? Looking for recommendations

HA fillers may be associated with a bluish discoloration in the under eye skin. This is called the Tyndall effect. In our practice, we utilize microdroplet Silikon-1000 to fill in lower eyelid grooves for a smoother under eye appearance. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
It is possible that what you are noticing is migrated filler from your most recent injection. I encourage you to return to your injector to discuss your concerns. You can elect to have the filler dissolved if desired.
Yes filler could be an option for you. Usually we would suggest treating the midface and lateral lifting vectors first. Once this is done we would then be able to place a small amount of product in the oral commissures (marionettes)
