Would a lip lift deliver drastic results or should I continue to use lip filler? (photos)

Great question. I do not consider lip lift and fillers to be true “alternatives” as they do different things for the lips and overall aesthetic. One of the things a lip lift does is decrease the amount of skin between the nose and lip. this can dramatically improve the aesthetic especially when you consider the ratios of length from nose to lip opening compared to from chin to lip opening. When the lip gets elevated like this, it also rolls out some of the upper lip and reveals more of the mucosa, thus giving the appearance of more volume. The amount of increased apparent volume depends on how much the lip is lifted. We are limited as to how much we can lift by tooth show and ability to close the mouth. So to try to answer your question, a lip lift would be a nice aesthetic improvement, and will likely enhance the results you get with filler ….. but it will not give the same amount of dramatic volume as 2 syringes of filler. Hello, thanks for your questions and photos. A lip lift alone does not volumize the upper lip, but it can create a fuller appearance by showing more of the vermilion (the pink aspect of the lip). It also increases dental show and reduces the length of the philtrum. Based on your statements, I don't think lip lift surgery is aligned very well with what you're looking for. Instead, you may consider lip implants which are a means of permanent augmentation without the risks and incremental cost of repeatedly re-injecting your lips (asymmetry, vascular occlusion, filler migration, etc).
