Why is my right eye higher than my left? (Photo)

My eyes used to be even, but in the last fiveish years (I am 25) they have slowly become uneven. This bothers me a lot because I love makeup and face painting but I feel extremely self conscious taking front facing photos of my work with the ridiculous amount of asymmetry. I am really worried that it will continue to get worse. What is causing the asymmetry? Can anything be done to correct this?

First, you (and everyone else) have facial asymmetry.  In your case, your right eye does sit slightly higher in the face than the left eye.  You have always been that way.  The other issue that I see is that you have minimal bilateral upper eyelid ptosis that is slightly heavier on the right side.  There is a compensatory eyebrow lift in addition to the orbital asymmetry. The brow compensation is slightly greater on the right side corresponding to this small extra amount to right upper eyelid ptosis. The amount of extra ptosis on the right side is about a half of millimeter.  Other than myself, I know of no other eyelid surgeon who is willing to tackle such a small degree of ptosis.  It is probable that you have an early levator dehiscence ptosis that affects both upper eyelids.  I suspect that both upper eyelids need to have surgery using an approach I call micro-anchor blepharoplasty.  When the eyelids are more open, the brows tend to relax down to a more natural position. The orbital height disparity is so small and the surgery required to address it is so heinous that I strongly advise you to live with the underlying facial skeletal differences.
