Teeth cleaned 2 weeks after Breast Augmentation. Any suggestions?

Surprisingly, I have had two patients that I could
trace a breast implant infection directly to dental work. For this reason, although
there is no uniformity of recommendation in our profession, I recommend that a
woman who has had implants in the last six months undergo prophylactic
antibiotics before dental work. Again, this is just my personal recommendation.

Thank you for your question. There is little data that cleaning your teeth within weeks of your augmentation will cause a CC. Infection independently has been associated with CC. I would discuss your concerns with your PS. Best wishes
