Reposting this question. I have implants already. Just wondering if there's any special bras or tips to create better cleavage? My breast were very far apart to begin with so this was the best the surgeon could do.
Answer: There are bras that can help with this With submuscular implant placement, your cleavage is about as good as it can be. The muscle creates a boundary that prevents the implants from moving toward the midline any further. But there are several good reasons for implants to be under the muscle, so I am not critical of that decision. You have a very nice, natural result (breasts are generally not naturally right in the midline with a deep cleavage). You can purchase bras that further enhance cleavage, either by pushing upward and inward on the breasts as with a typical push-up bra, or there are bras that actually cinch the breasts together across the midline. I think I have seen these at Victoria's Secret.

Answer: Breast Augmentation The answer to your question is that it would not be ideal to correct your cleavage. It is possible to bring the breast implants closer together by cutting the muscle. Improving cleavage will only make the lateralization of your nipple areolar complex worse (your nipples will point more outwardly), which is why I suggest not undergoing procedure. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

Answer: Implants need to be in front of muscles for cleavage Submuscular implants lack cleavage. Thus in your situation it is normal outcome. Taking out your implants from behind your muscles and placing them in front of your muscles will give you cleavage. However it is only feasible if you have adequate breast tissue in front of your muscle. It is a choice that only you can make with input from your surgeon.

Answer: Wide set breasts You have a difficult problem as you were born this way. However there are different things that can be done but will lead you to additional surgery and extra scars. Fat grafting to the cleavage may help and this would be easy to do, and then there is repositioning of the nipples and closing off the breast pockets laterally which is a bigger undertaking. Discuss the issue with your PS.

Answer: Wide separation due to a wide breast bone Thank you for your question. As you have stated, your surgeon did all he/she could do. A wide separation of the breasts is generally due to a wide breast bone which would be very difficult to change. To help in clothing, you should try a variety of different bras to see which one works the breast. It may be helpful to wear one size too small (34 vs 36) to push them together as long as that is comfortable. Good luck.
