I am 20 years old and my breasts have been this way since I started puberty. They stopped developing at the age of 14. I hate the way they look and it really affects my self confidence. I have never been capable of intimacy with anyone without a bra on. Will they fill out as I get older, or would surgery be the only option? How would surgery work? I don't really want to increase their size too much, just get a more "normal", fuller/rounded shape, not have them be as pointy and puffy.
Answer: Tuberous breasts Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another. See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for a Breast Augmentation. Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Your breasts are probably not tuberous Thank you for your photos and your question. You have small, somewhat uneven breasts. That having been said, they fall into the category of completely normal. As with all other body features, healthy breasts come in all shapes and sizes. I would not categorize yours as tuberous. Will they change further on their own? Yes, during pregnancy and breast feeding, but as you are already 24, I think it would be unusual for them to get much larger without the influences of pregnancy or perhaps a large weight gain. But whether or not your breasts are "normal" the is not as important as the fact that the way they look makes you self conscious to the point that this concern interferes with how you participate in various activities, like being intimate. And that can be improved by changing the appearance of your breasts with breast augmentation. Please make sure that you choose a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Please make sure that he or she also works with you to help you choose the volume implant that feels right for you. In my professional opinion, it is a disservice to our patients to think we can choose the size they want. I have included a link to one of my other realself.com answers about breast implant choices and who should make them. See below You do not need to label your breasts as tuberous to not be happy with them. They can be improved. Choose your surgeon carefully and treat yourself to a consultation. Best wishes

Answer: Do I have tuberous breasts? Without examining you it is difficult to be certain but it does appear as though you have a mild form of tuberous, or tubular, breasts. This is something that can certainly be corrected as part of a breast lift or augmentation as long as your surgeon recognizes it and releases the constricted areas appropriately. Meet with a few board-certified plastic surgeons in your area until you feel comfortable that one can do the job that you want. Best of Luck!

Answer: Tubular breast It is apparent that you have all three signs of tubular breasts. The bottom of the breast called the inframammary fold is poorly defined, the bottom of the breast has a lack of volume, and there is herniation of breast tissue into the nipple-areolar complexes.

Answer: Tuberous breast. Some advise Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.After having analyzed all the information and photos provided to us, i can identify that you have a underveloped and low grade tubular Breast. I recommend you perform a Tubular Breasts Correction with Breast Augmentation using silicon implants, at the same surgical time. There is a surgical technique for Tuberous Breasts correction, by which it is arranged the tuberous areolar ring from inside, and we also need silicon implants, to get a better Breast volume and projection.I recommend you to use microtexturized highly cohesive silicon implant ("gummy bear" implants), with high projection, and 400ml up will be excelent volume on you, to fill the breasts properly. Therefore it is very important that the plastic surgeon who will perform the surgery, has the skills and vast experience in this type of procedure.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
