Does the dominant side require more healing time?

I do not feel that
your hand dominance has much to do with that. Breasts are simply different
shapes and sizes. If it is early you certainly need to wait about 3 months or
more to have the implants settle and they may look closer in size at that time.

Hi, thanks for your question and congratulations for your brest augmentation surgery. It actually doesn´t work that way, final result depends on how your breast was before surgery (shape, volumen, saggyness, etc.), the procedure itself and healing process (which is different in every patient). Some things you do after surgery  like lifting heavy things, excersise before time recommended or any hard activity with the arms could cause complications like hematoma, seroma or wound opening. Asymmetry is usually present in all patients in different degrees and sometimes after BA it becomes more noticeable. I wish you had posted before and actual photos to see progress. Yousing your hand results in use of your pectoralis muscle which will pull up the implant on that side. Thus, your dominant hand is likely to be used more often resulting in pulling up the implant on that side. It is very important to actively remind yourself not to use this hand/arm/etc. as it will give you a propensity to pull up the implant on your dominant side. A breast band is often helpful to keep the implants donw especially in the early phase of your healing.
