I had sclerotherapy for spider veins 8 weeks ago and injected a vein that I had since birth. It has almost disappeared but it is still lumpy and hurts when I touch it. Will it go away by itself? Do I have to see my doctor again?

history, and the photos that you have included, I do not suggest the removal of
this vein because it is potentially very close to a nerve. You could end up
with permanent nerve damage if you attempt to do this...
20 to 30 mm Hg compression stockings are adequate after sclerotherapy. These should be prescribed and fitted by a trained surgeon proficient in vein surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian
Pigmentation after Sclerotherapy is not related to diet, including iron-rich foods. However, an iron-containing molecule is the source of this brown discoloration. The brown pigmentation that may appear after Sclerotherapy (and sometimes laser) is a result of blood that remains...
