What is wrong with my nose?

Question

I've always been self-conscious about my nose, especially about the descending hump in between my two nostrils. After doing some initial research, it seems that I either have a hanging columnella or retreated alar or both. I just want to do something to make my nose look more normal from both the front and side view of my face! Please help me with my rhinoceros nose :/

From the photos, it appears as though the columella is heavy, and this can be improved with rhinoplasty. The cartilage that makes up the tip can be reshaped to create tip definition and to decrease the droop. Remember that you can't simply replace your nose with a brand new one, but you can undergo these adjustments that should look natural and give the nose a more pleasing shape.

Thank you for sharing your photos and concerns.  First of all, try not to be so hard on yourself.  Overall, your nose is fairly well–proportioned.  There are some minor esthetic issues primarily affecting the nasal tip that could be improved with surgery.  You are correct in stating that you have a hanging columella.  Additionally, your nasal tip is slightly widened and over projected. These issues are a few of the most commonly addressed concerns in rhinoplasty surgery and you would be a good candidate (based on your photos). If you're interested in pursuing surgery be sure to consult with a board–certified surgeon with experience in both functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty surgery.

Thanks for the pictures.One thing I see is a hanging columella. Almost all retracted alae are not natural, caused by surgery or trauma.You also seem to have a retruded premaxilla. That can be corrected by an implant.Your tip should be narrowed and projection of the tip should allow the tip to project slightly above the level of the dorsum.See an expert and discuss the issues
