First photo: unedited Second photo: morphed with app Is this achievable without jaw surgery? (I can't afford jaw surgery but can afford lower priced options like filler or implant)
Answer: How to contour the lower jawline There are different options to address this procedure. Soft tissue can be excised from the lower chin to prevent the ptosis you see with certain facial expressions. Adding an implant to bring the chin forward could also help. This procedure will require some expertise and precision, so be sure you choose an experienced, facial plastic surgeon to perform your surgery.

Answer: Chin contouring If you have a sagging chin, a chin implant may be a good option. We do it through the inside of the mouth, right in the office. Thus there are no visible incisions. Want to learn more? Watch our videos.

Answer: Chin Ptosis Correction What you have is dynamic chin ptosis in which the soft tissue pad droops down in smiling or animation. This can be corrected with either a chin implant, if one would benefit from that as assessed in a non-smiling profile view, or a submental removal of the overhanging chin pad if a chin augmentation is not aesthetically indicated. What you have morphed is a pulling up of the soft tissue chin pad higher up on the bone which can not be reliably achieved by any form of soft tissue resuspension. You either have to add bony volume out reduce soft tissue.

Answer: Chin options The first step is to make an accurate assessment. To do that you need an examination or very high-quality pictures. Ideally x-rays would be helpful as well. Based on the information provided it looks like you have excessive vertical length and slightly lacking forward projection. You cannot reduce the vertical length with implants or fillers but you can create forward projection with either one or both. I’m not sure adding forward projection to someone with excessive vertical height is going to give you the desired look. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Droopy Chin The photograph that you show, can indeed be improved with an excision of the droopy portion of the chin and possibly the muscle that pulls the chin tissue with animation..A chin implant may also help in giving you a better definition of your profile
