7 days post op, my nose is long and very pointy. Is Revision rhinoplasty needed? (photos)

I am 7 days post op, I just got my cast removed and I'm devastated with my nose! Wow, I just can't believe it. The nose is long and very pointy. I printed out these pictures of my nose I photoshopped and I don't understand how the doctor could be so wrong! Do you think this nose is good? Does it fit my face? ...I believe not. I want to correct my nose tip as soon as possible. When can I undergo a revision? Is it because of the swelling? Will my nose tip swell down and get round eventually?

Your profile looks
great for 7 days! Your nose will remain swollen for many months which can make
the nose appear larger than expected. Unfortunately you need to wait at least
12 months to see the true results of rhinoplasty as this allows time for the
tip to drop and for the swelling to subside.

Thank you for your question.  I agree with what has already been said, and that your profile looks great for 7 days!  The "pointy" aspect of your nose will relax with time.  It takes several months (at least 6 months) before we really know what your final result will be.  Your nose will continue to change dynamically even years after your operation. Your nose looks great in profile.  Remember that a bit of projection will be lost over time due to healing and scar contracture.  I do not think over the long term you will have as much projection and you should obtain a nice profile.
