Restylane tear trough filler puckering/causing dents in cheeks when smiling, will this eventually resolve? 2 days po. (photos)

Question

Two days ago I had a syringe of Restylane injected into my tear troughs and perhaps I'm being paranoid but in addition to the bruising and swelling I was expecting with this procedure, I'm getting these odd dents in my cheeks under the spots that were filled when I smile. I think I'd feel better if I knew A) if it might eventually resolve itself as the swelling goes down and I just need to be patient or B) if it isn't going to resolve itself, if there was some kind of solution to implement.

Its much too early to gauge your results. The under eye area is very sensitive and often swells after injections. Give your eyes at least two full weeks to heal. Its a good idea to see your doctor after that time if you still dont like the results.

Thank you for your question. It is too early to determine what your final results will be as swelling and bruising can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. If you do not see and important after 2 weeks please follow up with your injector for an evaluation. If necessary the filler can be dissolved with an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. Best of Luck!

I haven't seen this kind of puckering before but at 2 days, there is a lot of settling yet to do. If the puckering doesn't settle then depending on hat you are trying to achieve, they filler can be topped up to hide the pucker if needed in 3-4 weeks. Hope that helps, Adam Goodwin

After just 2 days there is still some settling that needs to occur so give it at least another week to see what it looks like and then if there is uneveness or lumps contact your doctor to see if anything needs to be done

Dear lhartel,
Two days post treatment for tear troughs is too early to asses final results as well as potential problems The immediate reaction of the surrounding tissues with swelling, busing and overall irritation will distort the area and be confusing as far as final results are concerned. 
Depending on the type of Restylane product that was used in your treatment you will see better integration in the tissue or not. 
I recommend that you wait for a full week and reach out to your physician that performed the treatment for a follow up appointment should you need any other correction to the treated area.
