At 28, I have lost quite a bit fat from under eyes, upper cheeks and have also got mild nasobial folds. I have recently got filler under eye. I still feel dissatisfied as I need volume on my upper cheeks and nasobial folds. I am thinking of getting fat transfer in my nasobial folds and upper cheeks and I can continue having filler for my tear troughs. Is this the right approach? Any long bad effect of having fat transfer at such young age? I wont need much fat though , 4-5 cc would suffice.

Answer: Fat grafting at a young age There are no reasons long term fat grafting would cause long term problems. It is your own fat and it will grow and shrink as you gain or lose weight. You do need to graft more fat initially as some of the fat is lost during transfer. Have an in office consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to know for sure what is the best option.Good luck!

Answer: Fat grafting Fat grafting is an excellent way to provide natural appearing volume restoration that will provide long term results. It is safe and effective at any age. I think it is important to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon that can help you decide on the location and volume to be added. It is important to not overfill the face as much of the fat that is injected can remain permanently. Fat grafting is also one of the more cost effective treatments for adding volume. It may reduce or eliminate the need for continued use of other temporary fillers that can add up over time.
