For a procedure that is just a lift, it is not common to need drains. Discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon who can provide advice based off your specific medical history and desired outcome of the procedure.
Every surgeon has his or her own preferences, but I routinely never use drains. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified, Double Fellowship-Trained Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon
Dear lolaNY6511,My preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
hello thank you for your question and provided information as well... based in your question if the case dont have eventually can during 7 days counting day after surgery.but its recommended to discuss this theme with your plastic surgeon.
I do not perform lollipop lifts because of the ugly vertical scars. Instead, I recommend The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time or later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Implants are not lifetime devices and half are removed by 9.5 years. Fat transfers are permanent and incorporated into the body.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Drains are operator dependent. Some use them while others do not. This is often a function of your surgeon's unique experience. He/she will have reasons either for or against which have served them well over time.In my practice, drains are uncommon for augmentation alone but are occasionally employed in the setting of reduction or lift (vacated space from tissue resection tends to accumulate fluid). They are typically left in place until drainage subsides (which in my experience is rarely longer than a week). As always, discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS)
Every surgeon is different in their own technique. I personally do not very often use drains for a breast augmentation or a breast lift. Speak to your surgeon. Typically drains are used for one week give or take.
I typically do not use drains for breast lift or breast implant surgery. Based upon their experience, other plastic surgeons will insert drains. Best advice will come from the PS who will be performing your breast lift/breast enhancement surgery.
Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. I do not leave drains for a breast lift with implants. Every surgeon has their own protocol for drains. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Personally, I do not use drains for a lift and augmentation. However, every surgeon has his/her preference when it comes to drains. Just ask the surgeon you see.
Scars darken because they were exposed to sun too early on in the healing process, or the type of skin you have. Micro-needling might be helpful followed by scar creams.
The puckers are from loose skin from the removal. Your lift could be tightened again under local in the office to help correct this.
I don't see an actual infection and you can always send photos to your surgeon. You do have a few areas that have slightly opened and these can be treated with diluted Betadine solution with saline on gauze twice daily. If need, find a surgeon or physician near you and be checked. It is best to...
