Numbness years after Liposuction and BBL - is this normal?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

It’s common for patients to have temporary changes in skin sensation after liposuction. This typically resolves by 2 to 3 months.

The process or reason it’s called neurapraxia.

Typically Liposuction does not cause nerves to be cut but in order for nerves to function they need a fat coding called the Mylan sheath. Liposuction can damage the Mylan sheath from the nerves and this takes time to heal.

It is extremely rare for someone to have permanent numbness and I’ve never seen that ever happened from Liposuction.

The longest I’ve ever heard of anyone having skin sensation changes is 3 to 4 months.
