Thank you for your question. You are still early in the post-operative period. It typically takes 3 - 6 months for the swelling to subside and and implants to settle into proper position. Please discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Also, make sure you follow all of your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions regarding level of physical activity and use of a support bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.
I appreciate your question. Right now, you are very early on in the post op recovery period. It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortable having implants in your body and for them to settle. This time allows for you to physically and psychologically adapt to your new body image. There are many variables that contribute to a breast augmentation's final result. Preop size and shape, IMF location, location of the implants and type of implant. Patients heal at different rates and each breast will sometimes heal at a different rate. Rest, relax, recover and heal. Express your concerns to your surgeon so he/she can examine you. Then reassess final result at 6 months. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck! Congratulations on your new Mentor breast implants. It looks like a good result so far and - yes - they will go down. At this point in fact, I feel that most patients are still swollen and this is beginning to dissipate. Follow closely with your plastic surgeon to see if it is appropriate for you to massage and use other techniques which can reduce swelling faster. Best, Dr. ALDO :)
Hi - 6 days is very early post op. You don't appear to have huge amounts of swelling, but the tissues will definitely still be tight & getting used to the implants. It will take a full 6 weeks or more to get your final result, which I think till be excellent. All the best
At this stage, you may be experiencing significant swelling and are getting used to having breast implants. I would recommend that you hold off on assessing the results for at least 6 months so you can heal and fee more comfortable.
Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. I am sorry however to hear about the anxiety you are experiencing. It may help you to know that a significant percentage of patients at your stage of recovery will feel that they are too big or (more commonly) too small. The vast majority of these patients who are initially quite emotional end up being very pleased with the outcome of the procedure performed.I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. From the physiological standpoint, it takes many months ( and even up to one year) to see the final results of surgery. factors such as swelling, tissue contraction, skin redraping, implant shifting etc. come into play. From the psychological standpoint, patients undergo an “adaptation period" during which time they get used to the changes that the surgical procedure has brought about. Severe emotional swings can also occur after any type of surgical procedure. In your case, I would suggest continued patience (don't be surprised if you end up very pleased with the long-term outcome of the procedure performed). Continue to follow-up with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes.
Her result looks excellent and appropriate for 6 days after breast augmentation Over the next 3 months or implants dropped into position and looks smaller than they do now. Of course follow up with your plastic surgeon.
Hello and thank you for your question. Honestly, a formal in-person evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are several reasons for this: 1) Bra sizes vary based on the clothing store (for example, Victoria's Secret tends to upsize everyone by a whole cup size) 2) Most...
Thank you for the question. There is no accurate/reliable/predictable correlation between size/profile breast implant utilized and cup size achieved.Based on your photograph, I think that you are starting at a good place and should have a very nice outcome with breast augmentation surgery. ...
McGhan made implants for many years. McGhan was bought out by Allergan which makes the Natrelle line. Mentor is a different company that makes excellent breast implants and they're owned by Johnson & Johnson. Each company produces a line of saline, silicone round and silicone shape (gummy ...
