Female 28 years old 63kg 164cm tall Caucasian Hello! I’ve had 2 rounds of liposuction done to my abdomen, both times in Turkey. I’m not satisfied with my results unfortunately as it’s quite uneven and not smooth looking. Im wondering if I could be a candidate for a third round or if this is as good as it can get and I just have to settle with not being confident in my looks.. It doesn’t have to be 100% perfect but I’d love for it to just be more symmetrical and smooth all over

Thank you for your question and photos. After two rounds of liposuction, a third one might not deliver the results you are hoping for. After each procedure, you develop internal scarring and it is difficult to achieve optimal result. That was your chance with the first procedure, although your surgeon tried to create a youthful athletic abdomen, he/she failed badly. There are good plastic surgeons in Turkey, but the one you picked is not one of them. I would suggest not to go back to the same surgeon for a third attempt. The local approach, no matter what cannulas one uses is not a good option, unless you are ready to opt for a fourth procedure after that one. Obviously, that practitioner who is not a surgeon, underestimates the underlying scarring that you already have. As a Total Definer surgeon, I would use VASER Hi Def Lipo technique, with PAL (power assist liposuction) as well to correct these unnaturally grooved areas. I do these under deep intravenous sedation (local anesthesia is too dangerous for the high lidocaine administration in the tumescent solution and poor anesthesia in the scarred tissues), but you do not need general anesthesia for this surgery. The postoperative protocol is as important as the surgery to give you a good result. See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.

Getting lipo done under local with the micro canulas can fix your tummy nicely and easily. Adding bodytite and morpheus is an added advantage also.  This way your doc  can stand you up and fine tune the results to make it look as good as possible. Yes, a big improvement can  be had.

I would begin by visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation.  If the contour is related to residual fat then it could possibly be improved with further liposuction. Fat grafting may also be recommended to help with the indented areas.

First, I would not go back to turkey, but find a plastic surgeon in your area who deals with scarred abdomens. If carefully done, the excess could be removed, and the fat could be transferred to the dented areas. Sculptra injections could also be helpful. You still have some areas with a little too much fat, but more areas where you need fat. It is better to have too much than too little.

I think you could be smoother with repeat liposuction but I would wait for at least 12 months after your last liposuction, but this time it would be critical for you to use FibroGuard to prevent fibrosis. It Is a garment worn underneath the faja starting two weeks after surgery to prevent fibrosis. It works very well. I use it in all of my liposuction and tummy tuck patients.

Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize.
The number of plastic surgeons who approach mastery of Liposuction is in reality quite small.
Each time someone has Liposuction the potential for improvement goes down.
If you’ve already had two rounds of liposuction then there is most likely not a lot of fat left to work with.
Improving poorly done Liposuction is very difficult and the chance of having a quality outcome depends on how much fat there is to work with and the skill of the provider.
The key is to find the right provider for the primary procedure.
People should think of Liposuction results as being permanent and irreversible.
There is typically always room for some improvement, but the degree of improvement typically diminishes with how much fat was removed with the previous procedures.
Any attempt at making outcomes better can also make things worse if your surgeon doesn’t have the skill necessary.
I typically do not recommend people travel long distances for elective surgical procedures.
Considering how few plastic surgeons have truly mastered Liposuction I recommend patient be highly selective and carefully vet providers before considering scheduling surgery.
Are usually recommend patients do this by having multiple in person consultations before selecting a provider.
During each consultation as each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body characteristics to your own.
 A Highly experienced surgeon should have access to 100s or preferably thousands of before and after pictures to choose from.
There’s always room for improvement, but the degree of improvement varies, depending on a number of variables.
Whether revision surgery and its potential improvement is justified as a very difficult question to answer.
By the most important variable is provider selection.
In the hands of the right provider not only will you have quality outcomes, but you’ll also be guided correctly in regards to if revision surgery should or should not be attempted and the exact level of improvement possible.
