I have some irregularities after liposuction about 1.5 years ago. Is this fixable? It feels like an adhesion when I squeeze it. It is pictured on my right side.
Answer: Liposuction You did not send a very clear picture and a close-up version would be best. You could get improvement with fat transfer or Sculptra injections.

Answer: Liposuction Cannula Marks Unfortunately, it is very difficult to see in this photo. It may be a cannula mark or it may just be that too much fat was removed in that area. In either case, it can be made better.

Answer: Correcting poorly done, Liposuction Correcting poorly done Liposuction is difficult and potential improvements depend on a number of variables. Revision work is much more difficult and complex than primary Liposuction so provider selection is absolutely paramount. The most difficult cases to improve on are on patients who were over treated during the first procedures and also those who were not great candidates for Liposuction to start with. This primarily includes people with skin laxity. If there’s still a significant layer of subcutaneous fat to work with, then some improvements are possible. Any attempt at improving the outcome can make the outcome worse. Getting a quality assessment and improving the odds of a good result is going to be based on finding a sufficiently talented and experienced plastic surgeon. Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons who approach Liposuction mastery is in reality quite small. Have multiple in person consultations with plastic surgeons in your community who seem to specialize in Liposuction. Bring pictures of your body to use as reference and always bring a complete set of before and after pictures as well.During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients with similar characteristics. Plastic surgeons will not have as many examples of revision work as primary Liposuction. Ideally, you want to see as many results of revision cases as possible to vet the provider in regards to their skilled for this type of surgery. Revision work is much more challenging than primary Liposuction. Personally, I’m often apprehensive of doing secondary liposuction because patient satisfaction is never going to be as high as it is with primary procedures. Patients often don’t appreciate that their candidacy for quality outcomes has dropped dramatically because of their first procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
