We have almost the same facial structure: oblong face with long, recessed chin & similar facial features. I also have a long overly tall nose with a slight downward pointing tip. These features bother me a lot The procedures I'm considering are 1. Rhinoplasty 2. Facial fillers to round out my mid face 3. Chin augmentation (vertical reduction and maybe some forward advancement) 4. Lip lift but I'm scared it will make my smile look toothy and gummy Would this suffice to improve my appearance?
Answer: I look like Lady Gaga. How can I change this? Nose job, fillers, chin augmentation, and lip lift? Without your photos- it is impossible to evaluate accurately. Generally speaking, rhinoplasty can shorten the nose, refine the tip. After initial exam- a surgeon will outline a treatment plan that is right for you. It is best to seek in person evaluation by a Board Certified PS

Answer: I look like Lady Gaga. How can I change this? Nose job, fillers, chin augmentation, and lip lift? Hi and thanks for your question. You need to post your own photos to better assess what your individual needs are. Its impossible tom guide you without proper photos. Post good front and side views and I'll be happy to update my answer. The nose is comprised of certain components, skin, cartilage, mucosa and bone. Whenever any of these individuals components are a dealt with, they affect the others and there is a domino effect. Whomever you finally chose, needs to be very well experienced in cosmetic rhinoplasty . The surgeon needs to realize that cosmetics surgery of the nose is the most complex in nasal anatomy with very little room for error. There is nothing worse than to have good looking nose from which you can't breathe. I encourage you to look up the surgeon you eventually select and make sure they are certified by the American Board of Plastic surgery and have years of experience in performing cosmetic nasal surgery. Furthermore, request to see before and after photos of previous patients by that doctor....not a clinic or surgery center. Do your homework......research and verify the doctor's credentials. Have they had problems with the Board of Medicine, disciplinary or otherwise. Any law suits? I wish you the best on your journey. I hope that the info provided has been helpful. Should you require any further clarification, do not hesitate to contact us. I personally conduct all the consultations and formulate an individual operative plan based on physical findings. We are one of only a few in South Florida that employ a web based program called TouchMD. Through this program potential patients from as far away as California can upload their photos. I then review each and everyone and draw my recommendations on your actual picture. This info is made available to you with the use of a private password that only you will have. TouchMD is private and follows all applicable privacy laws (HIPPA). I answer all questions personally, not through patient coordinators or other marketing individuals. Good Luck Dr. PG

Answer: Sliding genioplasty Being an option, chin implants have serious disadvantages, specially in the mid and long term, patients are rarely happy with them after 5-6 years, all are out by then or later.Consider the chin advancement by means of sliding genioplasty, the advantages are:-lifetime procedure, no more revision or renewal procedures-more natural than implants-no visibility of implant edges during gestures-improves the double chin effect at the sub-mental muscles (floor of mouth) hammock caused by lack of tension there; also improves the shape and tension of perioral muscles; implants do no offer this feature-horse-shoe enhancement, covering the chin and also the jaw sides of it-no future displacements or neuritis of mental nerves-practically zero infections and 100% healing of bones-no need for complex plates and screws that may need future removal; just steel wires synthesis may suffice, they stay buried into bone callusThe cons are:-expensive, but cheap if you consider the lifetime pros-technically demanding, few surgeons are experienced or comfortable (though I personally perform 100% of the chin augmentations by this osseous method, always after offering the patients both options)-scary for the patient (though not so much if you explain well the stuff around it)This is my advice to patients with weak chin, the sliding genioplasty above all other options. After explaining pros and cons all my patients opt for the osseous genioplasty and opt out implants or fillers.

Answer: Rhinoplasty and chin implant A full set of photographs of the patient is required, not of a celebrity. The rhinoplasty procedure can lift the downward pointing tip and shorten a tall nose. A chin implant can be performed to give added projection and advancement to the under-developed bony mandible.

Answer: I look like Lady Gaga. How can I change this? Nose job, fillers, chin augmentation, and lip lift? Hi, from the attached photos, your cheeks are a bit flat, the chin is weak and the nose could be further refined. The cheeks and chin can be augmented with either a temporary dermal filler (I prefer Perlane) or permanently using Cheek Implants and a Chin Implant. Rhinoplasty would refine and re-shape the nose. Hope this helps.
