Can the nasal bone be swollen after rhinoplasty? (Photo)

Question

I got a rhinoplasty done 2 weeks ago. My recovery is being amazing , and I was very happy with the results, but the lasts 3 days , since the swelling is going down, I notice the left side of my nose is perfect, while the right side I still see and can feel the bone while massaging. I will see my doctor in one week, and I want to make sure I am not being too judgmental about this , but I believe I will need to get a revision after I heal completely . What do you think ?

Dear BR ladyAfter rhinoplasty, significant nasal swelling will last for 3-4 weeks. During this time it will feel like you have a different nose everyday. Sometimes the right side will swell up more than the left ....At this point, there is no reliable way of predicting  your result. unfortunately you have to be patient. keep in touch with your surgeon and follow your post op instructions.

Once the cast is removed usually after 1 week, your face will feel puffy and the area around your eyes and nose	will be bruised and swollen for several days. Cold compresses can help minimize	the swelling and reduce pain. Your doctor may also recommend pain medicine.	It takes about 10 to 14 days before most of the swelling and bruising	improves. Keep in mind everyone heals differently and tolerates pain differently.

At two weeks, you still have swelling throughout the nose that will continue to subside over the coming weeks to months. The swelling doesn't always come down symmetrically which can cause some asymmetries in the initial healing period. Be patient and make sure that you are following up with your rhinoplasty surgeon during this time so they can monitor your nose for these changes and address any concerns you have along the way.
