Lower cartilage popping out & upper bone bumpy - is this normal 11 months post rhinoplasty? (Photos)

So I've had this for a while now and my doctor said to wait on my year mark. It seems like I have a lower cartilage popping out and the left side of the upper bone is also bumpy. I'm nervous this will be permanent and will have to look out for a possible revision.

There are many reasons for this contour irregularity. The most common that I see is a disruption of the smooth transition from the nasal bones to the upper lateral cartilages in the mid-vault (the middle part of the bridge/dorsum). I would go back to your surgeon and express your concern.

Based on your photos, you appear to have a bit of a wide and somewhat c-shaped nasal appearance. The black circle appears to be around the sidewall of your nose that is less prominence. Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a revision. Maneuvers for your surgery could include osteotomies, placement of spreader grafts, placement of a dorsal fascial onlay graft, among other maneuvers. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
