What is the wait time between fat graft procedures?

Question

I'm afraid I won't have the desired hip size and breast size after the procedure I plan to have next year. How long must I wait to do the procedure a second time? (I am not at all open to implants)

For a subsequent procedure I recommend to wait at least 6 months to allowed adequate healing process. If you haven't done the surgery yet, don't be afraid and discuss it with your doctor. It is very important that the plastic surgeon you choose knows all the concerns you may have and can clarify any other doubts. Best wishes.

Thanks for posting your question!I would recommend that you wait 4-6 months in between sessions of fat grafting to recover fully from the previous operation as well as giving the area time to fully show how much volume is retained after swelling subsides. Fat grafting is a great procedure, but fat volumes retained are not completely predictable and may require regrafting for optimizing results.

If you have enough fat to harvest, then a secondary procedure could occur as little as 3-4 months after the previous procedure in some cases.
