I have not taken any pictures but I am 5'2 I used to weigh 438lbs I lost 220lbs so far through changing my diet and exercise. I am now 215.4lbs I am trying to get down to 145lbs before I have my surgery.

Answer: My insurance company will only pay for panniculectomy. How much more would I have to pay for muscle repair or tightening? Congratulations on your weight loss! Best to get as close to your goal weight and then consult with a few board certified plastic surgeons who can properly examine and evaluate you and recommend the best procedures for you. You may need a vertical abdominoplasty or even a circumferential so pricing will depend upon the procedure itself in addition to the type of facility where the surgery is performed (surgery center vs. hospital) and the type of anesthesia provider utilized (anesthetist vs. anesthesiologist). Paying to repair the muscle when you are still overweight will not get you the biggest bang for your buck. Once your weight is down, then it may be worth turning the panniculectomy into an abdominplasty. This price will range by surgeon...so do your homework and make sure you pick a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
