Jeffrey Gusenoff, MD

I got a breast reduction & lift by him a month and half ago! Great doctor! Looking to get more work done by him. He was super nice and attentive. And he actually cares. My scars look GREAT! They’re already fading and hardly noticeable.

I was treated by Dr Jeffrey Gusenoff and his wife, Dr Beth Gusenoff. They performed an adipose tissue transplant on one of my feet. Their non hurried, meticulous, compassionate care was like nothing I have ever experienced. Postoperatively I had no pain at either the donor site or grafted site. Last year I had this procedure performed by another practitioner after which I experienced excruciating pain for over 2 weeks and it ultimately failed. Dr Beth and Jeffrey Gusenoff offer exemplary care and experience.

I highly recommend Dr. Gusenoff's consultation and surgical services. A few years ago I had gastric bypass/roux-en-yi and lost 115 pounds, but was left with excess skin plus separated stomach muscles. Six months ago Dr. Gusenoff performed abdominoplasty, breast lift, and liposuction of my upper back/flanks. At 5'9" I wore a size 20 pre-op and now comfortably wear a size 16. Bye-bye muffin top! Beyond his handy work, Dr. Gusenoff has a demeanor that will put you at ease. I was concerned about visible scarring so he thoughtfully explained the likely results for each type of incision. Wearing a typical bra and bikini-briefs none of my scars are visible. From day 1 it's clear he cares about the quality of his work and the happiness of his patients. The staff and students that work with him were equally wonderful throughout my experience. In the days leading up to your own surgery you may be nervous and post-op you may have moments when you'll wonder if the pain is worth it - with Dr. Gusenoff the results are absolutely worth it.

My Motivation is that I felt constant burning and pain when I walked. Forget putting on a pretty shoe with a heel. I had a painful callous under the pinky toe of each foot with no fat on the side on each foot at that spot from a prior surgery. Putting fat back under the ball of the foot has to help and I was happy to find out that he did this procedure. After a long consultation with him, a podiatrist working with him I moved forward with the procedure the next day. He was fantastic. He knew what he is doing with fat transfer. He worked with an ultrasound machine. He took the fat from a place that benefited me, and left me perfect on each side, a little plus for the summer. I couldn't be happier with this quality plastic surgeon. I love his conservative approach and I will be using his services again.

Surgery done yesterday. Stayed overnight at hospital. Very sore at the moment but I know it's well worth it. I have some pix but will post others once healing is more complete. I'm part of a study that gave me a wound vac to see if it helps with healing or not. I I'll get it removed when I go for my post op appointment Monday. Cant wait to see what my belly looks like

Drains removed ! Very pleased with results I can't wait to fully heal so I can be free from soreness and back pain (from walking huntched over).

Doctor said I can take the binder off and use compression garments now. Working on my scar now with scaraway gel. I tend to keloid with deep scars I'm praying I can save this

Scar looks good ps says keep an eye on it because it seems like it is starting to thicken a bit. Praying to God that it doesn't because the scars on my boobs are terrible. Fingers crossed ????

Still happy with overall results but my scar is the worst.... I don’t have a problem covering it up. It itches underneath my scar at times and I can never get the itch because I can’t feel where it itches ( if that makes sense lol ????) it’s still numb all around my scar. So women of color be cautious because we do keloid and get hypertrophic scarring. It all looks better in person.

Best decision of my life! I'm so grateful that my surgeon is as awesome as he is! No more pinched boobs or boobs in armpits. I was a DD/DDD now I'm not sure what cup size I am but I'm assuming around a C cup. I have only been wearing sports bras or those elastic ones that goes around our boobs. My surgeon will be doing my panniculectomy later this month. Hoping to have a flat tummy and nice curves to match LOL!

First set of kenalog injections.. they did hurt. But I have been having pain with my scars once they started to thicken up. I've massaged and used scar gel , aspirin, and scar strips.... they hurt! The kenalog is supposed to help alot with flattening minimizing and decreasing the pain so far 12 hours later they are not painful

Scars finally lightening up. Happy with the I’ve still and can’t fit many bras I’m between sizes so nothing fits but I’m liking the no underwire. Nipples are still weird to me but oh well not too much of an issue.

After losing 115 pounds, I still had very low self esteem. I looked great with clothes on but what I took them off all I seen was the fat and was disgusted with myself. When I met gusenoff I was 135 pounds and a size 4 with a huge excessive amount of skin in the abdomen area! I feel so much more confident! And I love how all my new clothes look on my new body!!!

Had my follow up today! All is well. Was released to go back to working out and full activity. I won't go back for another 2 months. I am so happy with my results. I also asked about possibly getting implants as they look like deflated balloons!!! So I guess at next follow up we will discuss pricing. Dr. Gusenoff and his team still are amazing!

I was s heavy child, adolescent, teen and adult..... Heard lots people say lots of mean and Nasty stuff... Had some nasty things done to me....however I kept going... Right around 28 -30 was told the weight would kill me!!! I made choices to fix it all in 2006 I had Gastric bypass...... Lost weight and then gained after having my son... Around his 4th birthday I decided enough is enough and took action to get the weight back off... In 2013 I stated with a trainer and got my act together... At the same time I made an appointment with Dr. Gusenoff...... He told me hit you goal weight and we will do the surgery....... well that was February of 2013... by august of 2013 I not only hit my goal weight I crushed it by loosing an additional 20 pounds.... 226 pounds we GONE!!! but the Skin remained!!!

We went to insurance for surgery.... and got the BIG OLD DENIED!!! I was crushed but I was not stopping!!!! After some kicking and screaming and an Appeal We finally were approved!!! 12/12/14 was the BIG DAY!!!!

I was set for an abdominal panniculectomy, brachioplasty and thighplasty…. the surgery went GREAT!!! even after the 2nd or 3rd day I did not feel Horrible I was sore (to be expected) but really I was so amazed!!!

Dr Gusenoff and his team are OFF THE CHARTS!!!! They had me prepared…. I knew what I Was expecting and wow did the doc deliver. I am AMAZED at the difference. The care I had, the professionalism and the art work… I know that may sound crazy but in all seriousness this is artwork of a different kind!!!! Doc Gusenoff is one hell of an artist…I never imagined it to look this good!!!!

From Day one Dr Gusnoff was the utmost professional and kind as was his whole staff. I was comfortable from the get go. I could not be more happy with the results!!!

I wanted at tt since I had my son in 2008 and finally got it done after years of procrastinating and debating on having another child. Decided no more children for us so I decided i am doing it:) I was not really nervous at all until i got in the hospital the day of surgery. I think that is because i have wanted it for so long it was just like yeah im doing this.
When I woke up for the general I was groggy and didnt do anything but sleep the day and night i was in the hospital. Going home and the car ride was a little uncomfortable. Once home I slept in a recliner walked to the bathroom and slept. The first three days i had so much anxiety over getting up, having a bowel movement and my breathing that i was like why did i do this to myself? I took the percocet 2 tabs q4 around the clock the first two days and they made me so sick nauseated, hot flashes, dizzy and absolutely no appetite. day two night i just took tylenol and since then have only been taking tylenol 2 500mg q6hr. This has made the experience much better because those first days i wanted to rewind and take it all back...it wasn't pain either that made me feel this way it was the percocet im pretty sure. I have never really taken pain meds like that before so that is why im guessing. My drains were in for 5 days and let me tell you i hated them just because they were irritating. Day 5 I got them out..once again anxiety the whole time i was waiting for the ps. Once he came in and took them out i felt so much better. The drains coming out did not hurt either just felt weird.
Since the drains have been out it has been so much better. I walk straighter but still need to work on it i try. Most mornings i feel great and walk almost straight perfectly but as the day goes on and swelling starts i become more bent over and less comfortable. I have been sleeping on my sides and rotating at night. It isnt bad but i used to love my sleep and now im up early every morning just ready to get out of bed. I sleep just not so comfortably.
Overall I am so far happy with getting the tt done and feel better about myself. I just cant wait to move normally again and be able to do activites like biking etc. I still feel like i move with kitten gloves on like i use my arms to get out of bed and bend down and sit etc. I think i could move normally i am just scared any advice anyone? How long before you just got out bed normally or rolled around normally?

One concern i currently have is that my scar currently cant be hidden with any undies or bathing suits i have:( It seems really higher than i thought it would be. This could partially be my fault because i told my ps i didnt plan on wearing a bikini, but truth is i just didnt think the tt would look this good:) I still have stretch marks but i might venture out in a bikini one day. does anyone know if it will go lower when swelling decreases or is it just going to be like this? I will also post my post op pics so far as well. I still have glue and ink on me so...and the pics are lousy quality from my phone. but you will get the idea. Lots of swelling by the end of the day. I took two walks today around the block which is total of 1 mile so im happy:)

So today I had class for the first time so had to sit all day 8hrs and walk occasionally to cafe etc..went okay. I havent really had any pain in days and havent even been taking tylenol..some reason on my way home though i was exhausted and teary driving when someone cut in front of me etc..i dont know just an emotional day i guess..feeling okay now that im home..also lots of swelling today for some reason. I am getting a new camera tomorrow so will update with good pics then.

Another day of class today felt better today afterward.. I really need to work on standing straight! I can stand straight but as soon as i start walking im hunched over because i feel i cant breath good when i move standing straight up! any advice? also should i be moving normally now? I still use kitten gloves to roll at night and move..

So its been a while now and things are going well. I have been back to my old self for about a week and a half now. Walking straight moving normal. I still wear the binder everyday as told by ps. I still have some swelling in the lower abdomen but the top seems to be fine. At my 3 week check up my ps said i had a pocket of fluid that he could drain or let go beccause it was soo small. So i decided just to let it go and watch it. went to myrtle beach last week and had fun in the ocean. no swimming just walking around but it was nice. Will have my 6wk check on july 22 and then off to arizona! The glue is all gone from my scar and i have been massaging it and using some scar away..not sure how thats working yet. will update if i see a difference. The only issue is my belly button still hasnt gone in any. I currently have a cotton ball shoved in there and taped to open it more..any advice?

Feeling great and have been for a while now! Since 6 weeks I've been doing some exercise. I do push ups, crunches etc but not very many at a time. Knock on wood I have not worn my binder since 6 weeks and have not felt like I have been swollen since then! The only issue I still have is my belly button:( It still looks like a vertical coin slot. Its all puffy and does not go in at all. Anyone have this problem and it fix itself or do I need a bb revision?

I am so glad I chose Dr. Gusenoff to perform my tummy tuck. He is an excellent/skilled surgeon with an amazing bedside manner. He made me feel very comfortable and confident in his abilities from the beginning and he did not let me down. I am only three weeks post op at this point but am already so pleased! If you are considering this procedure, you should also be considering this surgeon! His staff is also very competent and accomodating. He and his staff are always available to answer any questions you may have. I will add pictures after next post-op appt. in three weeks.
