I have MASSIVELY huge pores along with some pink pigmentation on my cheeks and annoying freckles on my nose. I asked a dermatologist what would he recommend for my skin and he said fraxel laser followed by hydra facial, but he didn't specify how long of a time frame in between. Knowing how I am, I'd prefer to do both at once but I'd like to know if it's safe or even possible. And would it give me faster results?
Answer: Treating Pores I would not recommend having both on the same day. The skin needs time to heal and evolve. It can take up to 3 months to notice a great change in pores due to collagen stimulation. We recommend the hydra facial two weeks following any laser procedure. We do a 'Twinlight Resurfacing treatment' that involves 5 steps to reduce pores. Clients love the results

Answer: Large Pores The Clear and Brilliant laser has been proven to shrink pore size and the number of pores. This laser has very little downtime and can be done in a series of four or five treatments, one every three to four weeks. Between laser treatments, I would add a hydrafacial to remove the debris from the laser treatment and further clean, exfoliate and remove clogged pores. It is not a good idea to do the Fraxel or the Clear and Brilliant laser at the same time as Hydrafacial, it will not improve outcome. All the best to you, Alexis Parker MD
