I have rosacea that makes my cheeks red and has caused a thickening of the top layer of skin on my cheeks which bothers me immensely. I have gotten 5 rounds of ellipse laser treatments. I also have surface wrinkles and oily skin. I read mixed information that you can and shouldn't use a hydrofacial when you have rosacea. What is the true answer? And what treatment may help get rid of the thickened skin?
Answer: HydraFacial is great for rosacea A HydraFacial with the red & blue LED light therapy could be one of the best things for you! Make sure your provider knows about your rosacea before getting a HydraFacial because everyone's skin is different, but it certainly shouldn't make it worse. The red LED light therapy with the HydraFacial is an additional treatment that takes about 8 minutes per side after your HydraFacial that penetrates deep into the skin to relieve redness eventually. Best of luck!-Dr. Haney

Answer: Hydra Facial and Rosacea HydraFacials are great for all skin types and conditions, with the exception being severe acne. Rosacea patients can benefit from the cleansing, gentle exfoliation action of the HydraFacial as well as it's serums. At my practice one of our most popular treatments is combining HydraFacial with Vbeam Perfecta laser treatments. Following our aesthetician's rosacea protocol is key, as well as using at home products that support your goals for your skin in minimizing irritation and redness.Customizing treatments for your unique skin is key, and so I would also suggest a consultation with a certified and licensed practioner.Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Hydrofacial for rosacea My aesthetician would recommend the Hydrofacial for you to thin out your skin because the Hydrofacial is exfoliating your skin therefore thinning out your thickened skin. She would customize the Hydrofacial for you by using Vitamin C to treat your oily skin and help fight the rosacea. Although the Hydrofacial will not eliminate rosacea it can help treat it. She would recommend any vitamin C product with copper in it to help treat your rosacea.

Answer: Great for your kind of rosacea Hi! I think they Hydrafacial finishing with the LED lights would be great for you! As long as you don't have really inflamed rosacea with aggravated wounds and lesions at the surface, you should be ok! Just make sure you inform the technician about your rosacea so they know to turn down the suction. They say it can create broken capillaries which are very easy to get rid of with laser. Good luck, I hope this helps!
