Is it OK to have a filler such as Juvederm right AFTER a laser Genesis treatment?

Yes, you can have a dermal filler like Juvederm injected alongside a Laser Genesis treatment -- and in fact, studies indicate that it doesn’t matter if the filler is placed before or after your laser treatment. Certain providers use their personal experience with client results to make their own policies on how long you should wait before, after or between treatments, so it is usually best to follow your provider’s advice for best results.Laser Genesis is a brand name of the cosmetic equipment company Cutera. You could research their tools if you are concerned about the quality of your treatment, but tools are constantly changing so the appearance of your provider’s devices are not necessarily a good indicator of whether they are using the Laser Genesis brand name or not. Laser genesis is from the manufacturer Cutera. It is great for lines, skin rejuvenation, red spot removal, and photo facial. It usually takes 2-3 treatments to start to see smoother skin.  I often perform filler right after the laser treatments. However, you should wait 2-3 weeks after having filler before having laser genesis again. We usually recommend 6 treatments scheduled 1-3 weeks apart for the best effect.

Thank you for the question as these two procedures are often done together.   Your provider is doing things right in that he/she is doing the Genesis first followed by the filler.  We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks after a filler is injected before having a Genesis treatment so I feel that having 3 weeks between the two procedures is fine.  

It is fine to have filler injected after your laser Genesis, as long as the skin has cooled completely down (which usually only takes 10-15 mins after a Genesis treatment).  However, you should not have another laser treatment for 4 weeks after the filler is injected.  We do laser Genesis every two weeks for best results.  My advice would be to finish your laser series and then do filler OR to do filler and then wait a month before starting the series.Cutera manufactures the laser Genesis, so you can check the machine and make sure it has that name on it.

First you can inject filler immediately after a genesis but not before. I like to have patients either wait a half hour until the skin has adequately cooled or come the next morning. THe problem is your second laser genesis will be 3 weeks from now and I like to wait a solid month before using this type of laser over areas injected with filler.
Second the laser genesis is made by cutera so if the laser doesn't have cutera written on it its not the genuine genesis.
