Hello,Would you please indicate what the expectations were in using the Laser Genesis for the lips? In this way, we will be able to offer feedback. If the treatment goal was to address fine lines surrounding the mouth area, there is a much better way to accomplish this using 1. Small doses of Botox or Dysport, 2. a gel filler such as Restylane SILK, and 3. Deep fractionated lasersRegards.
As a physician and patient, I notice a smoother texture and a glow immediately after laser genesis. It takes the series of 6 treatments to see an improvement in fine lines and build collagen. Some red spots will diminsh with each treatment. If you have any brown spots, I do find a more significant response by combing laser genesis with IPL or limelight.
Depending on what your goals are with Genesis would determine the answer. If you are looking to achieve more fullness in the lips, typically you should notice some slight improvement immediately after each treatment. If you are looking to improve fine lines around the mouth then I would suggest a series of peels designed specifically for these type of wrinkles in combination with the Genesis. We like the layered mal -e and sal- e peels from Epionce. If you are doing Genesis alone, please keep in mind the treatment continues to change the collage within the skin for up to six weeks. Therefore, the results can be quit progressive. We recommend a series of 6-8 sessions every 2-4 weeks for best results.
I would suggest a multi-pronged approach for your skin concerns. While partial to Laser Genesis for issues such as lines/wrinkles and large pores, adding in treatments such as microneedling with radio frequency or IPL will really help check off all of the different concerns you mention...
