If Genesis doesn't coagulate small vessels and doesn't have skin contact how does it reduce redness ?
Answer: Laser Genesis Hi there! Great question, Laser Genesis works wonders! Micro-pulses of light gently heats up below your skin's surface. This treatment is non-ablative so it does not burn your skin, and it stimulates the production of collagen which leads to tighter pores and reduces redness. It is best to see your doctor for a consultation to determine the number of treatments that will achieve your desired results!Best wishes,Barbara L. Persons, MD, FACS

Answer: Laser Genesis or another laser for diffuse redness/rosacea? Hello,Very good question. Although there may be mild improvement with the inflammatory component of rosacea, we believe that the correct wavelength of a laser must be ideal for the patient's skin type and condition. The pulsed dye laser technology (ex: VStar, VBeam) is a wavelength of light that is specifically attracted to the hemoglobin in blood vessels which represents a specific target, specific interaction between the laser and target, and a much better approach for rosacea. However, the skin type/color and type of condition are factors in determing if the PDL technology is ideal. In our practice, the PDL is the gold standard for diffuse redness, followed by our Q-switched YAG laser - nanoseconds versus micro or milliseconds. This two laser approach has been a good treatment plan for rosacea patients.Regards

Answer: Laser genesis The wavelength of the laser genesis is the same wavelength that is used to treat larger vessels. The laser delivers heat to the small vessels and causes them to contract and than collapse. The laser also causes cells to stimulate collagen production. The laser does not need to be in contact with the skin because the beam will reach the target vessel.

Answer: Laser Genesis The laser genesis is a 1064 laser which gently warm your skin to an even 45-46C (113-115 F). At this temperature, the small vessels of the skin reduce in size and the fibroblasts are stimulated to form new collagen. There is no downtime and it is actually quite relaxing. It is not meant for individual vessels but rather overall redness. It is recommended to do the treatment in series. There is a vascular head on the same laser that can be used to trace and diminish individual larger vessels.
