i went to my appointment about getting my brests lifted and also adding implants. my doctor said he will only give me the lift first and then 3 months later do another surgery for my implants. also i will have what some call the “lollipop cut” and also in the crest of my breast. he made it seem as if there was bo other way. what are your opinions?
Answer: Breast augmentation and lift What your doctor proposes is certainly one way to go. Personally, I would recommend doing both in one stage. I always put the implants in first and then contour the lift to remove the exact amount of skin to have just the right amount of snugness when I am done. Perhaps you should get more opinions until you are comfortable proceeding. Good luck.

Answer: Lifts Some surgeons will do this in one surgery, and some will do it in two. It is safer to do in two procedures, especially if your breast tissue is thin and blood supply to your areolae is limited. Also, you might be happy with just a lift.

Answer: Breast Lift First Then a Second Surgery for Implants? It will depend on your surgeon. That is how some surgeons will do it, while others will do it all in one procedure. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon (or two) to learn what options are available to you. Good luck.

Answer: Mastopexy-augmentation Hello and thank you for your question and sharing your photos. You benefit from a single-stage mastopexy-augmentation (lift combined with implants), which can be performed safely and with good outcomes in experience hands. I would seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a full evaluation and advice. Make sure your plastic surgeon has experience performing this kind of surgery. Answer: Breast Lift Surgery / Mastopexy -- Breast Mound Repositioning, Nipple & Areola Relocation, Excess Skin Removal, Fat Grafting, Br You need a formal evaluation by a licensed plastic surgeon and expert in breast lifts, revisions and augmentations to determine what is best for you and your goals. Breast lift surgery can improve a woman's breast shape by repositioning the breast mound at a higher position on the chest and then centering the nipple and areola on the breast itself. If there is enough breast tissue, I can perform a highly aesthetic mastopexy without the addition of further volume by internally rearranging the breast tissue and removing excess skin. If more volume is needed, especially in the upper portion of the breasts, we will discuss the possibility of fat grafting or silicone gel implant placement. The type of incision required for this surgery (circumareolar, “lollipop” or “anchor”) and the lifespan of the lift depends on each patient’s condition, breast tissue, genetics, weight and hormonal fluctuations, and desired results. Augmentation with mastopexy is a challenging surgery that requires significant experience to create a shape that is youthful, natural, and proportionate to the body, while managing the native tissue as well as fat grafts or implants. When performed properly, it can result in a dramatic improvement to a woman’s breast appearance. I suggest consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon and expert in Breast Lifts. - Dr. Cohen
