Question

I got facetite and necktite procedures (liposuction with radio frequency tightening) done 3 moths ago. About 7 weeks after the procedure, I started noticing depression, ridges and irregular contour. Now the lower cheeks have deeper indentations , dimpling and wrinkles than a month ago. Not only my cheeks are still numb and stiff, I am afraid that too much fat was removed, and I now my face looks gaunt and older. Will this give a permanent deformity and irregularity on the cheeks?

Nanofat injections can fill in areas that are depressed or Kybella can reduce fat above the area.
A facelift with contouring of the other fat can be useful.  I agree that only minimal treatments with fat or Kybella should be used until contraction is complete.  Another alternative is to have your doctor use a hyalouronic filler substance during the waiting period to fill in some of he areas on a temporary basis until ready to do other treatments.

I would recommend you followup with your surgeon to see if they recommend any treatment to address your concerns. While you must wait for swelling to resolve entirely, fat grafting can be performed to correct a contour irregularity like what you are showing.

Hi, it appears that you have loss of some tissue that is likely permanent however I would give it additional time (6 months-1 year) for the skin tightening results to be complete before performing any additional procedures. The skin tightening effect takes more time. You may consider a face lift or fat grafting to your cheek.

Thank you for submitting pictures with your question. FaceTite is a very effective treatment for combined skin tightening and fat reduction. Unfortunately, in your case the jowls & certain areas on your lower face appear to have been over treated. The skin is tighter and there is less fat in the depressed areas. Continue to follow up with your surgeon. The skin continues to tighten for up to 1 year after a FaceTite treatment. Fat grafting to these depressed areas can help improve the contour. -Dr. Hernandez
