Can visceral fat be removed during a partial hysterectomy?

Question

I have a laparoscopy and partial hysterectomy booked for Dec 2022, because of uterine fibroids + potential endometriosis. Outside of this procedure, one of my doctors (who is a dietitian) has put me on metformin and has classified me as pre-diabetic due to my weight and height. I know visceral fat is not traditionally a cosmetic procedure, my doctor overseeing the surgery doesn’t do it. Have any other surgeons/plastic surgeons seen the fat removed during a hysterectomy?

visceral fat is surrounding intraabdominal organs and it is not removed by surgery. The only was to remove it is to get on diet and lose weight.

Visceral fat cannot be addressed surgically.  It is reduced via weight loss.  Speak with your surgeon or primary care physician about nutrition and exercise tips to help get your weight and blood sugar under better control.

Visceral fat can only be reduced by reducing body weight. It cannot be removed surgically. 
I recommend you exercise and eat a healthy diet before your surgery to get yourself  in the best shape possible to recover from your surgery, and then return to exercise as soon as your surgeon allows, keeping a nutritious well balanced diet throughout.

No, no, no, no, no!  Visceral fat is not removed by surgery but by dieting. Get your weight down so you loose the fat and not be a prediabetic.

Visceral fat is diffuse and attached to internal organs throughout your body and cannot be removed surgically. Weight loss is the way to go both in regards to reducing fat and for health and safety.
If you struggle with weight loss then consider talking to your primary care doctor or look for local support groups or others struggling with the same issue. I know several people who have had good luck with Weight Watchers and overeaters anonymous.
