Would I be able to get a rhinoplasty procedure to resemble Aaliyah’s nose? (Photo)

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. I don’t recommend using celebrity photographs as goals. Your surgeon’s own work is much more realistic as a goal. Additionally, I highly recommend that my patients focus much more on real longterm before and after photographs rather than 3D imaging.   I encounter so many patients in my practice who see me for revision rhinoplasty who previously had surgery elsewhere who feel like they were mislead into surgery by surgeons who relied heavily on 3D imaging without adequate real before and after pictures to back it up. Photoshop is easy but real surgery is very different.

I always recommend that you carefully evaluate your surgeon’s online before and after gallery on their website for both quality and quantity of results. Make sure that there are hundreds of real before and after pictures which demonstrate long-term follow up results. If your surgeon is posting mostly on table results without real long-term follow up results, that is usually a major red flag. If a surgeon is posting mostly just splint removal day videos without longterm follow-up pictures, that can also be a red flag. Long-term results are much more meaningful than on table results or 1 week post-op results. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

While it's not possible to recreate someone else's nose exactly, based on your photos it does seem like a realistic goal to create a nose that is stylistically very similar to Aaliyah's. Due to differences in facial proportions, bone structure and facial anatomy, differences will remain, however with an open rhinoplasty and alar base reduction in the right hands you should be able to achieve a similar look.

You can certainly have your nose changed to make it look smaller and similar to Aaliyah's nose. However, you can never have the exact same nose. Using Aaliyah's nose as a guide to what you wish is ok to ask.
The two big changes you need are Alarplasty and Tip plasty. This will address the large size of your lower half of the nose. Your upper half looks good.

Your nose can be slimed and tip definiton added for a great result.
Aliyaha s picture helps understand the changes you want, but resembling someones else nose is usually not a good idea. Your facial features are unique, and your nose must be a perfect fit on you.
The use of computer simulations (although not perfect) will give an idea of your outcome, and help in decision making.

Hello. briefly; yes it is possible. Let's go into some detail. Each person's facial structure and anatomy is different. Even if you have the same origin, small changes in facial shapes can reflect the appearance completely differently. but in your case, It is possible to give you this nose shape with the right technique.

There is something I always tell my patients during the consultation phase, and I would like to convey it to you as well; Don't decide without being sure. Ask all your questions, as +15 yrs experienced doctor and as Assoc. prof. , I would like to take my patient into surgery free from all doubts.

I highly recommend, especially if you are planning to go under rhinoplasty surgery, you should take your desicions, by looking at the long-term results. Photos taken after a short period of time or in the operating room can be misleading. Moreover, I think, it is always safer to choose an experienced doctor to have best results
