Shortening the nasal tip cartilages can create a more natural and aesthetically pleasing look. Smoothing the nasal bridge and slightly raising the radix can provide a straighter side profile. Additionally, narrowing the nasal bones with osteotomies and reducing the alar width through alarplasty can enhance the front view of your nose. The ideal nasal shape will greatly depend on your personal aesthetic. At least to my eye, I do think your nose will look more balanced with a slight augmentation to your radix (area of the bridge between the eyes), which will create a smoother appearance to your dorsum and bridge. The tip of your nose may be slightly long and ptotic, and may benefit from some rotation (lifting). Other changes could also be made, but again will depend on your specific aesthetic goals and ideals.

African american rhinoplasty typically involves 4 different components. Some patients need them all, some only one or two. Here are the 4 components.
1. Improvement of the bridge height with an implant (In your case you actually have a small hump which needs to be removed, so it is the opposite of what I normally see in most of my African American patients.
2. Narrowing of the wide upper nose (bony part) with osteotomies.
3. Narrowing of the tip (Tip-plasty)
4. Narrowing of the nostrils (Alarplasty)

Your nose is too wide and the nasal columella angle is less than 90 degrees. The nose needs to be shortened, the tip needs to be rotated upward and refined and the width of the nose needs to be reduced.

A rhinoplasty can make a facial asymmetry less evident by moving the nose to a better centerline position. Nose asymmetries can be as well corrected with rhinoplasty. For you case I will choose an open approach and structural technique. Computer morphing can help you decide how far you will like your changes to go.

A rhinoplasty procedure can reduce the length of the nose, shave down the dorsal hump, narrow the bridge line, and narrow your nostrils.
