Yes, they will reduce because of excess
swelling that is there right now. If you want further reduction, you will have
to wait for the swelling to go down at least.

You are still in the healing process and what you are seeing is not your final results yet. Breast reduction surgeries usually take up to 6 months to heal, and only by that time will you be able to conclude your results. The amount of breast tissue removed must have been rational and safe. Removing too much or too little tissue will cause significant problems/dissatisfaction so trust your surgeon's decision and follow up with him/her regularly throughout your healing process.

Hello,Breast reduction swelling can take some time to reduce and you are in the early stages of your recovery. Be diligent about your follow up appointments so you can voice your concerns. I imagine a significant amount of tissue was removed and I wouldn’t dwell on the “letter/cup size” too much as the technical details of surgery may not allow taking more tissue. Hang in there,

Hi there MRN, your breasts will continue to change size and to a lesser extent, shape, in the next 3-6 months. Most people see the greatest change in the first few weeks after surgery. As the swelling slowly subsides, your breasts will also soften. I advise my patients that when their scars go from pink to white, that's when they know that their breast shape, volume and lift have completely settled. You are still ok to buy new bras after about one month from surgery, but I would advise purchasing tighter rather than larger cups to ensure they still fit a few months from now.

Thank you for your question. You are only a month or so out of surgery, so you definitely still have some swelling. Also, with the reduction your breasts also get lifted, so they may look a little "perkier", which is why you may see less of a result in clothes. It is likely that over the next 2-3 months, the swelling will further improve and the breasts will settle a little bit so they don't look quite as large. 
That said, you may not be at an A/B cup at the end of the healing process. Your plastic surgeon can only take away so much tissue from your breast without harming the blood supply to your nipple (which would lead to the nipple dying...not good). In some very large patients I will stage a reduction - meaning take away some breast tissue (but not so much to hurt the nipple) and then go back 6 months later and take more to get the final result. 
In 5-6 months, if you still wanted to be smaller, you could have a re-reduction. But be patient for now and see how your body heals. You should also let your plastic surgeon know how you are feeling so you are all on the same page and you can make a plan together.
