When do you see final results after TT and liposuction?

I just had a TT and liposuction done on my inner and outer thighs. My outer thighs look great but my inner thighs are okay. How long does it take for your body to see the final results? Also my TT is swollen about how long does it take for swelling to go down?

Most patients see about 90% of the final results at about 3 months after surgery. The swelling is almost completely gone by that time. As you get back into your normal routine, you will see even more improvement in your shape up to about 6 months post op.

Usually at 6 months, you pretty much know what result you will have.  Your goal is to maintain your weight and not allow yourself to gain any.  Better to even lose a few pounds during your recovery.  If you're concerned about your contours, keep your surgeon informed so he/she can advise you on how best to remedy the problem as you heal.

It can take up to a year to see final results, swelling might be noticeable for around 6 months.Lymphatic drainage massages help greatly with swelling, they are usually started 2-3 weeks after surgery, I usually recommend a series of 7-10 in a month´s period.The incision line, usually takes 12 to 18 months to be fully healed.

Liposuction results are very difficult to evaluate until the skin has had ample time to tighten up.  Wearing the compression garments tat are recommended will help speed the process up.

Both of these things absolutely take time to get to the end result though there are two different reasons for it. With the tummy tuck, the swelling you see is just soft tissue swelling and will get better in time.  The sixth week is when most of the swelling is gone but it will not be entirely gone for months.  The liposuction areas do likely have some swelling but, most importantly, need time for the skin to shrink over the now smaller you underneath.  This takes at least three months to be complete and will continue to change subtly for 6 months or longer.Best,Dr. Pyle
