I plan to get PDO Thread lifts done this Fall. I am just wondering if Ulthera is sitll safe over the PDO Threads? How long should I wait after the PDO Thread Lift Treatment before going for the Ulthera?
Answer: Ultherapy & Nova threads--add lasers, RF, Sculptra, microneedling/prp Both can provide outstanding results in the hands of the right person. Keep in mind, usually a combination approach is needed to get the best outcomes. Ultherapy and Nova threads work best combined with other treatments like lasers, RF treatments, microneedling/PRP, or sculptra to get increased collagen, tightening and improve skin tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Is Ulthera Safe Over PDO Threads? Combo Therapy Is Best; Do Skin-Tightening First It’s my experience that nonsurgical rejuvenations work best when a number of procedures are combined, based on each patient’s needs. I haven’t heard of any instance where there was a negative reaction when using both threads and Ultherapy, nor is there any reason for there to be. Personally, I would prefer to begin with a skin-tightening therapy, such as Ultherapy and/or ThermiTight and then proceed to threads, if necessary. My favored thread is the Silhouette Instalift. We often use them in combination with Ultherapy for a minimally invasive face lift. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who has experience performing successful minimally invasive facelifts.

Answer: PDO Threads vs. Ultherapy Thank you for the detailed question. At our office, we prefer to do Ulthera before the PDO threads. Both the ultherapy and the PDO threads can cause a lifting effect so sometimes doing the ultherapy first to tighten the skin can negate the need for the threads. We encourage you to meet with a board-certified plastic surgeon to go over your concerns and goals so that the right treatment plan can be made for you. For more information please visit our webpage.

Answer: Ulthera over threads In my experience there's little effect from Ultherapy over threads, and we've done this for patients in our clinic a number of times.

Answer: #Ultherapy and threads or #Instalift Dear Autum_moon:You are going to get fairly universal agreement that if you are planning to have both Ultherapy and threads or Instalift sutures, that Ultherapy should be performed first. However, if you have had threads or Instalift sutures and decide to have Ultherapy, it is fine to have the Ultherapy after the threads or sutures have had a chance to dissolve and incorporate into the surrounding augmented connective tissue. For Nova threads, this would be after 4 to 6 months, and for Instalift, this would be after 6 to 12 months. Having Ultherapy will not interfere with the beneficial effects of the threads or sutures after that time, and they will continue to remodel the connective tissues.I would be happy to answer any additional questions at my Open House on October 25th.All the best, Dr. Clark
