How is tear trough filler supposed to feel?

Thank you for sharing your question.  If done in a conservative manner with serial, incremental additions, Vobella will feel a little firm for the first days after injection but then should become like your own skin.  The greater amount of product placed the firmer the feeling, the greater the swelling, and the longer that softening of the filler will take.  Hope this helps.

At first, Volbella under the eyes may feel a bit like an implant or something hard. This is due to the swelling. It can take at least 2 weeks for the swelling to fully subside. At that point, however, you shouldn't be able to feel the filler at all.

treatment. Volbella is a hyaluronic acid filler designed to enhance the lips. It can also be used to restore lost volume in the tear trough under the eyes. I recommend that my patients apply a gentle massage 5 minutes at a time, 5 times per day, for the first 5 days. This will smooth out the product, reducing lumps and bumps, and provide a natural appearance. Please

Thanks for your question and in an ideal world, one should hopefully feel nothing extraordinary in the tear troughs following injections if they were injected slowly and deeply in the area being treated.  We do see swelling for up to two weeks in some but the area should not feel hard – so I would recommend that you contact your provider, tell them what is going on, and perhaps see them.  In any event, if at two weeks you are not happy, the filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase and the area will return to what it was before you had the injections.  Good luck.

Thank you for your question.  All hyaluronic acid fillers, including Volbella, can feel slightly firm after injection.  Typically, over the course of a few weeks, the filler should soften and blend into your skin.  Volbella is a particularly nice product for sensitive areas like the undereyes and tear troughs because its a very thin and soft filler, and it typically blends into the skin rather quickly.  That said, if your injector injected larger boluses of Volbella at each injection point, it may take a little longer for it to fully blend in.  If you still notice the firmness under your skin in a few weeks, please follow-up with your injector to discuss your concerns.  He/she may be able to gently massage the filler to blend it out.  Best of luck!

Thanks for your question. Sometimes immediately after injection you may feel dermal fillers along with associated swelling for several days to weeks. Usually once the swelling settles and you grow more accustomed to the filler you will not be aware of it. Sometimes if the filler is quite superficial you may feel it a bit more. If you do not like the way the filler feels you can return to your injector and have hyaluronidase injected in the area to dissolve the filler. I hope this is helpful and wish you all the best.

It may feel like an implant at first and that's due to the soft tissue around it swelling and retaining a bit of water. Try to keep your hands away from it and don't press on it.
