Volbella is a thin hyaluronic-acid based dermal filler that gives a beautifully natural result when filling out smoker's lines. Generally, I will start with one or two syringes and let the patient wait a couple of weeks until the swelling dissipates and the product “settles.” If more filling is desired, it's easy to add more Volbella. You might also need some co-therapies, such as skin resurfacing, to get optimal results. As far as price goes, you can get a rough idea by using this site, but each practice charges differently and you usually pay more for expertise. Consulting with a few board-certified dermatologists whose results impress you will allow you to find someone in your budget range and/or work out a payment plan.
Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. As you do not appear to have significantly deep smokers lines I think you can make a nice improvement with 1-2 syringes of Volbella. This will allow the depths of the creases to soften and become more even with the rest of your lip skin. Cost will vary by region so best to see a series of injectors in your area.
Thank you for your question. There are many great products for lip lines. Juvederm Volbella is the newest FDA approved filler for lip lines. It does a great job at softening lip lines without the bulky or puffy appearance with a one year longevity. For restoring lip volume Juvederm Ultra or restylane would be good choices. Usually begin with 1-2 syringes, as the syringes are 0.5cc so 1/2 the size of previous lip filler syringes. It's not uncommon to use 2 syringes for best results. Cost depends on area of the country. Ranges from $400-$450/ syringe. Please consult a local board certified facial plastic surgeon for more information and a comprehensive consultation
I typically start with 2 syringes of Volbella. I always think it is best to start off conservatively as it is much easier to add filler than to take it away. The costs are going to vary by region and provider. I would suggest that you find one or two board certified plastic surgeons on the American Society of Plastic Surgeons website whose work you like and call for a quote.
Thank you for your question bellavista15. Volbella is a hyaluronic acid filler designed to enhance the lips areasaround the lips. It is a very thin product and comes in half size syringes (0.55 cc). Most of my patients start with two syringes and we assess the results after 2 weeks. At that point more may be added. Please click the link above for pricing information. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Hi,Thanks for your question. Volbella looks like it would be a great option for your smokers lines. It is difficult to give an exact estimate of how many syringes you will need based on photos alone. I recommend you make an appointment with a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon to have a full consult / assessment and they can give you a better estimate of your needs. Hope this is helpful. Lumps and bumps are not unusual after lip augmentation with filler. Try to massage the area gently. This should help. Although be careful not to overdo it. If the lump doesn't dissipate over the next week or so then schedule an appointment to see your injector to have it assessed.
It takes at least two weeks for the swelling to fully subside and for you to see your final results from your filler injections. So, for now, wait. However, if, at that point, you still aren't happy then you may need a bit more filler. Most good injectors start small as it's much easier to add...
There is always some swelling after any injectable particularly in a sensitive area such as under the eyes. It may take a couple of weeks to fully resolve so, for now, be patient. Things will improve.
