You should check with your surgeon about this. However, it is possible it could irritate your skin and even if it is straight from the plant it is possible to introduce possible infections, I would avoid it. Good luck.
Patients with questions abut what scar creams to use on their facelift scars should address those questions with the surgeon that performed the operation.
This would be a discussion between you and your surgeon. He has his protocols regarding post op management and he may or may not agree to this, although generally this is not recommended as it may cause irritation on your skin. Best consult with your surgeon directly.
I don't think this is a good idea. Your face's blood supply after a facelift is somewhat compromised for a while, until it "learns" how to get blood and drain it, and I would not want any medications (natural or otherwise) on it until several weeks have passed. That, however, is my opinion, and not your surgeon's. You should check with your surgeon for their advice. Good luck!
You should definitely speak to your physician regarding this. Although Aloe Vera has been used for decades for sunburns or minor cuts and scrapes, it could cause irritation to the skin of the face after a Facelift. Seek your surgeon's opinion on this, as it may a patient to patient basis.
Although aloe vera has been used for decades for irritated skin (i.e. sunburn), there would not be a reason to use this on your skin after a facelift.
Aloe Vera is a popular burn treatment and works on the top layers of the skin. The facelift healing is deep where the tissues have been lifted. It is not likely to be effective deep where it is needed.
Hello MBG,It is important to follow your surgeon's post operative instructions following a facelift. Using a product directly from a plant (even if it is Aloe Vera), would likely increase the risk for infection. This is because there would be expected to be various organisms present on a living house plant. I would recommend you discuss this with your surgeon before even considering it, but I would advise my own patient not to do it.I hope this helps and good luck.
Thanks for sharing your question. I can appreciate your concern.Aloe has being identified to have various healing properties. I would recommend caution NOT applying it close to the scar. I am concerned about increasing the chances of possible infection. Finally, make sure that you have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Wishing you the best in your journey
Assuming you have used this before, I would keep it away from scars to avoid any possibility of infection. Ask the advice of your surgeon.

By looking at your pictures, you do have early signs of aging face. You could benefit from a mini facelift to improve your marionette lines and neck laxity. This is your best permanent option. The other option is non-surgical such as Vivace a radio-frequency and microneedling device with PRP. ...
