Do stem cell butt augumentation last longer than a regular BBL?

I haven't heard much about stem cell butt lifts. I've read it is "enriched stem cells" that produces longer lasting results. Is this a new practing science? Is it safer and will result really last longer than a regular BBL?

The removal and transfer of fat in lipo/BBL involves the removal and transfer of stem cells as well. The reference to enriched stem cells probably infers platelet rich plasma (PRP) added to the fat.  To my knowledge this method has not been endorsed by the FDA and is not widely used.  Don't be hoodwinked into buying some expensive procedure.

This is not new science, this is new marketing. ALL fat transfers involve the transfer of stem cells that naturally live within the fat. These cells have been shown to rejuvenate the skin of the breast and face when transplanted, but in the butt it's unlikely to make much difference to the overlying skin because of how thick it is. The secret to longevity is handling the fat properly to maximize how much of it gets a new blood supply in the area it's transferred to so it will live there permanently. Stem cells have nothing to do with it and further "enrichment" of the stem cells is just a technique used to take more of your money for the exact same procedure. I'd suggest you get a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you who has a history of performing high-quality BBLs without having to resort to tricks and gimmicks to sucker unsuspecting patients in. There are no studies that definitely show that stem cells have any effect on BBL results. That being said, there are some surgeons who feel that it works in their hands. The most important thing to get the best result is that you surgeon can do a great BBL even without stem cells. Hope this helps!

The use of stem cells is still controversial,but there is a fair amount of scientific evidence to suggest that their inclusion in  transfers may  help with fat survival. One of the main problems with stem cells is that they are often used as a marketing tool. In fact, most of these  are not at all true stem cells and not processed in a lab approved by the FDA.But there are some stem cells, derived from liposuctioned fat, which are processed in a lab that is recognized by the FDA. At our center we recently started using these stem cells. We will wait and see if there are truly any benefit derived  from them.
