Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Thanks for your question and the photos your provided. You need to have redundant, looser skin around joints so you can bend your wrist and move your fingers. Your skin appears within normal limits. Around the age of 30 we stop producing collagen naturally, so at that time I you may consider microneedling like Morpheus to build collagen/elastin in your skin. Make sure you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon at that time, good luck!
The hands can be rejuvenated with a combination of fillers like Radiesse and Belotero, fat grafting with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and lasers like Fraxel. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to develop a personalized treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer
Many medical aesthetic procedures are available for treating ageing or crepey hands. Treatment is based upon cause. Loss of volume and large veins can be treated using the dermal filler Radiesse. Some other procedures available for hand rejuvenation include: intense pulse light (IPL), microdermabrasion, chemical peel, laser, skin needling, fat grafting, mesotherapy, skincare and platelet rich plasma (PRP). You might try prescription and over-the-counter topical treatments that can help reverse the effects of aging. Lumixyl and Elure are sold in MD's offices.
You may want to consider Renuva. This product is different than traditional HA fillers. It gives the immediate effects like filler does but over time the product is gradually replaced with your own fat for longer lasting results. Visit my website or a provider near you to learn more.
It is great that you are drinking lots of water and reapplying a moisturizing lotion regularly.I would also recommend adding an SPF lotion during the day and to reapply that cream every time you wash your hands. Another staple ingredient that will help diminish the dryness, and the quality of the skin is Retinol. There are many Body Lotions that contain retinol and you can use that at night or days that you are not exposed to the sun.If you are willing to do any lasers, Laser resurfacing can increases your collagen and give the skin in your hands a more youthful appearance. Good luck!km
Hello and thank you for your question. To add volume to your hands I suggest using either Radiesse or Belotero which are fillers. I think you’re a perfect candidate for it. I suggest an in person consultation to plan your path forward. Best wishes. Dr. T
