Would laser work to rejuvenate my hands and fingers? (Photos)

Hello, I am 45 but my hands have, all of a sudden, gone really wrinkly. Is laser effective on hand and fingers to treat that? Looking forward to your answer :)

A combination approach will give the most improvement. Hands can be improved with fillers very easily, and I love combining this with fraxel laser to tighten and improve texture. Belotero and Radiesse give natural looking results.  I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist with expertise in hand rejuvenation to go over the recommended timeline.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question and submitting your photos.  There are two main goals for hand rejuvenation - improve the texture and quality of skin and secondly to replace lost volume.  Sometimes these are separate and sometimes both goals need to be addressed.  I generally start with a series of fractionated carbon dioxide laser treatments to improve the texture, skin tone, and quality of skin.  If additional volume is required after the laser series, then I find it reasonable to talk about using filler to address the volume loss.  The video shows how quick and easy the laser treatments using the Swift Hand Scanner can be.  Best wishes on obtaining a great result!

You may want to consider Renuva.  This product is different than traditional HA fillers.  You will see improvement right away, like with fillers, however the product is gradually replaced by your own body fat for longer lasting results. Laser works to stimulate collagen, improve texture and eliminate sun spots. For a better hand rejuvenation I recommend replacing lost volume using FDA-approved Radiesse. For aging hands, we like to (1) restore volume and (2) treat dark spots and loose (crepe-like) skin).  A filler to restore volume--Radiesse, and now Renuva allograft adipose matrix--can give you long lasting volume replacement. We then use LaserGenesis to repair loose skin and BBL lasers to remove and lessen the appearance of dark spots. Together, the results are great.

Hands are such a great area to treat in aesthetics. There are great options for hands, and they all make your hands look younger and prettier. Laser absolutely can and should be used for hand rejuvenation! It helps with fine lines and wrinkles, and age spots. Your provider could choose fractional CO2, Fraxel, 1064 Yag, Erbium or IPL (intense pulsed light).  I am also a huge fan of filler in the hands and this would definitely help as well for fine lines and wrinkles and minimizes that "vein-y" appearance we get as our hands age. Radiesse has been approved in the U.S. for the longest, but Restylane Lyft just got FDA approval as well, and off-label you can use Belotero or Bellafill (Bellafill is the longest-lasting filler), and we have used all of these in our office. If you hands having become wrinkly then likely you are losing the collagen in your skin. I would suggest a few sessions of aqua gold with PRP which will increase collagen formation using your own growth factors harvested from your blood.
