Typically no wires were used in the nose during surgery.  They can be threads coming out of the nose which is attached to pledgets used for applying medication inside the nose.  There also can be some packings that time which might appear as wires but they usually are soft Silastic or spongelike.RegardsDr. J

Wires are not traditionally used in rhinoplasty.  There are sutures (stitches) that approximate the incision upon closure.
