I believe I have a low radix. In addition, there really isn't any transition from the radix to the forehead (due to the heavy frontal bone). Is there any way that rhinoplasty (maybe in combination with brow bone reduction) can obtain the desired looks I have attached.
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi @mdijan! Thank you for sending your photos. Your desired looked can be achieved by placing a cartilage graft to the radix increasing the height giving you a straighter and taller profile. Best wishes!

Answer: Can a rhinoplasty fix/alter my radix/glabellar area? Thank you for your question and photos. Your radix appears low secondary to the prominent glabellar region and vector of your forehead. There is a very clear transition from the radix to the forehead in your photo and the other photos demonstrate less of a transition from the root of the nose to the forehead. A graft to the radix, to increase the height, would make the transition from the root of the nose to the forehead less noticeable and would decrease the visibility of the slight midvault dorsal convexity, providing you with an overall straighter and taller profile. Realistically, a rhinoplasty addressing the height of the radix would improve your overall appearance on profile, but would not provide you with the same look as the other photos you provided, due to the differences in the shape and vector of the forehead, midface, and chin, which would not be altered by a rhinoplasty alone.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you appear to have a low set radix. Radix augmentation can be performed with diced cartilage wrapped in fascia. Based on your goal pictures you also may want to consider tip refinement and dorsal convexity reduction. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. You should be able to view numerous pictures of actual patients with noses similar to yours performed by your surgeon. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: The short answer is yes A good rhinoplasty plan will take into account your concerns, including the depression in the radix (called a low radix) and use a variety of techniques to augment that area. This can be done easily through a closed rhinoplasty and a cartilage graft.
