Is it safe to go to a party 3 months after rhinoplasty?

Is it safe to go to a party 3 months post op? I had the bones broken, hump removed and tip refined using dissolvable sutures. I'm worried about small bumps to the nose, especially the tip area. How stable is the tip at this point? Can I safely hug people without worrying about getting a small bump to the nose? How much can the tip withstand compared to when fully healed?

Hi @LilaW16--this does appear to be hemosiderin which is an iron containing pigment found in red blood cells. I recommend treating this sooner rather than later. The Q-switched Ruby laser can treat hyperpigmentation Best of luck to you!

Hi @erryhospel! I recommend that my patients resume exercise 3 weeks post op. My biggest advice is to listen to your body. If you notice increased swelling after yoga or any physical activity, I would avoid those exercises and ease your way into your routine. Best of luck!

Hi @Pita Lynn! Considering you are only 1 month post op, you are very early in the recovery process and you are still swollen. Swelling can last up to 1 year post op. Best of luck to you!
