Does having poor circulation in my nose mean it will take to heal after rhinoplasty?

My nose is constantly freezing, even when the rest of my body isn’t cold. I am assuming it is poor circulation, and I am sure it’s common. However, I’m getting rhinoplasty in January and I’m hoping for a decent recovery. Would poor circulation in my nose prolong things?

Hi @LilaW16--this does appear to be hemosiderin which is an iron containing pigment found in red blood cells. I recommend treating this sooner rather than later. The Q-switched Ruby laser can treat hyperpigmentation Best of luck to you!

Hi Sara,No worries about the second hand marijuana smoke causing any problem with your post op nose.  You should make sure that your Oreo cookies and fudge brownies are locked up securely should your neighbors visit.  Good luck and be well.Dr. P

When can I resume a regular yoga practice after rhinoplasty?

Hi @erryhospel! I recommend that my patients resume exercise 3 weeks post op. My biggest advice is to listen to your body. If you notice increased swelling after yoga or any physical activity, I would avoid those exercises and ease your way into your routine. Best of luck!
