Is PRP helpful for the 11's, crows feet and the forehead or is it not meant for that area?

I'm very nervous about needles and kind of a control freak about knowing everything before doing this kind of stuff, so I'm curious how deep do they put the syringe in your forehead? Your 11's? Your crows feet? Does it hurt?

This is a great question. If your main concern is the lines in these areas when your face is at rest, PRP can work for you. The skin is numb for PRP injections, so they are very tolerable. I would recommend doing a combination of PRP injections and the vampire facial, which combines PRP with the micropen. These treatments will help soften your fine lines, and improve the overall quality of your skin.If you are concerned about these areas when you make certain expressions, then Botox/Dysport would be a good idea for you. The "#11" lines in the middle of the forehead, the horizontal forehead lines and crow's feet lines are caused by movement of muscles that cause these lines to form. The best way to address these "dynamic" lines is to immobilize the muscles with a botulinum toxin treatment like Botox, Dysport or Xeomin. PRP would not be at the top of my recommendations for the expression lines around your eyes.  Dysport or Botox works significantly better, and in many cases even better in combination with skin resurfacing depending on your specific situation.

Prp can be used in these areas. However, Botox can also be used to improve these areas. Deeper wrinkles need a combination approach with Botox and lasers, microneedling/prp and fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

PRP which causes your own platelet cells works by stimulating collagen production it will however not limit muscle movement (the cause of wrinkle). If wrinkles are your main concern consider Botox, it will be a quick and easy way to not only reduce the appearance of current wrinkles but also reduce deeping of those wrinkles. If you are looking to build collagen and want a more natural healthy glow to your skin consider PRP.

Yes PRP is very helpful for all areas of skin and will reduce and soften lines and tighten the skin after a series of treatments. A topical anesthetic is applied before the treatment that minimizes discomfort. Some individuals are more sensitive then others but most individuals find the procedure very tolerable.
Most of the time, Botox is combined with PRP to give the immediate impact in these common areas of treatment, while letting the PRP take effect over several months.

The areas you are describing are best treated with neuromodulators such as Botox and Dysport.  These are wrinkles caused by movement and it is best to suppress that movement.
