Thanks for the question. After 2 weeks post op the swelling is totally normal, asymmetry between nostrils is because of the swelling so be patient and follow all your surgeon instructions. Kind regards
Hello,It is probably due to swelling! It takes 1-3 years for the swelling to fully go down after a rhinoplasty. The tip takes the longest time to heal and mold to the new framework because it is the thickest skin of the nose. The skin over the profile is thinner than the skin over the tip.
Nostril asymmetry is common and often not noticed before surgery. You might want to review your preop photos. Right now you are swollen, and the swelling may impact it as well.
I do see the asymmetry that you are referring to. This may be part or fully the result of swelling but there may also have been asymmetry before surgery and/or asymmetry may have been a factor during surgery. Since you are early after surgery give it plenty of time as changes will occur during the healing process. Once the healing process has finished you can evaluate the nostril shape and symmetry and decide if a revision is desired/needed.Good luck with the rest of your healing.Dr. Remus Repta
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. You are 13 days post rhinoplasty, so there will be considerable post operative swelling. This usually takes months to settle and the final result will become apparent only then. So it is too early to make a judgement, so do not worry and let the healing take place. All the best.
Best to check with your surgeon, as it is possible for things to shift if the hit was severe enough.
You’re lucky that you’re happy with one view of your nose. Many people are not. As to why your nose is shaped the way it is, it all comes down to genetics and luck. If you would like to narrow your nose from the frontal view, this can be done through rhinoplasty. I would thin the skin on the tip...
Hello,Unfortunately, no one can really determine a cause without a proper consultation. I recommend an in person consultation with a doctor that specializes in rhinoplasty surgeries and is an ENT. They could evaluate your situation and see if it is correlated. All the best, Deepak Dugar, MD...

The photographs do not show the entire face, so it is not possible to compare proportions. However, you may be a candidate for improvement in several aspects of the nose. My best advice is to consult with a very experienced rhinoplasty surgeon so that you can discuss all the options as they ...
Thank you for the question! While you should be ready for physical activities at 2 months post-op, I would not recommend putting yourself at risk for physical trauma to the nose. Exercising and swimming should be fine, but try to avoid diving head first. Even if the risk of injury is minimal,...
