I had surgery on May 4th 2017 and I'm going to go see my cousins who just got a new pool so I wanted to check and see if it is recommended to not dive head first or jump into the pool? I didn't know if the force or pressure of the water could possibly damage my nose with it being only 2 months post-op. Thanks!

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi, Thank you for your post. I would not recommend jumping or diving into the pool however swimming is fine. I would contact your surgeon to see what restrictions he has for the best recovery.

Answer: Diving after rhinoplasty Thank you for the question! While you should be ready for physical activities at 2 months post-op, I would not recommend putting yourself at risk for physical trauma to the nose. Exercising and swimming should be fine, but try to avoid diving head first. Even if the risk of injury is minimal, it's better to be cautious. An in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon is the best way to assess your needs and obtain expert medical advice. Best of luck!
